Well, we had a couple of crisp Autumn days last week and leaves began to change and then, ***poof***, it was back to almost 90 degrees! My poor plants don't know WHAT to think! I hope you have had a great week and a wonderful GTS! Below are a jumble of photos that somewhat reveal my week...and the POT!
but a few bucks and bribes did bring her around. All of those daffodils you see eventually got planted. I hope...
The reservoir hole and pot for my fountain. We got lots of holes dug on Saturday,
but none of the projects completed. Besides this hole, we dug holes for the arbor that will be in front of the screened porch and for a stained glass window that will hang in the garden. It should be cool when completed, but nothing much to photograph today.
The POT!
Here's the pot that I wrote about last week. I bet you were expecting bronze or gold the way I carried on, but it's a great pot. It's quite large, although you can't tell here. I'm guessing it's about four feet around at the widest point. The shine you see is from the flash; the color is a ruddy brick matte color. It has a wonderful patina. It will be awesome with water running out of it.
Though not gardening related...
this is our nephew, Jake with his coach after they won their playoff game. They are undefeated. I think he played well, considering I don't have a clue how this game is played. All I did is pray the entire time that someone didn't fall on him and crush him!!! He made the winning touchdown! :)
Way to go, Jake!

I sympathize with you regarding the weather. We've finally got down to our normal 80s for this time of year. It's pretty bad when it's mid-November and the temps are in the 90s.
Good luck on the pot fountain, and happy GTS,
Aihana
A little hello from Switzerland! That is a very nice pot for the water supply of your pond! It would also be nice to have it just for decoration use!! We have winter here with windy, wet November storms. So I'd like to change our temperatures with yours!!!
Enjoy the weekend!
Barbara
The garden fairy seem to done her job and the frogs alrady enjoy yout 'pot' so what more could you ask for..lol
Cheers Mark
Hard to believe to have such a temperature on the other side of the ocean. Here we had our first snow of the year! Have a nive GTS and an enjoyable weekend!
Sisah from Germany
As it is starting to get cold here I'm actually thinking of the 90 degree days with some fondness. Now that it is colder and staying that way I know the growing season is over and I'll have to "wait 'til next year."
You should threaten to take away Christmas if the holes aren't finished on the days they're started. This close to the season and a threat like that could carry some weight.
it's amazing to think that the weather changes where you are so dramatically. Your pot looks fantastic. sara from farmingfriends
Thanks for your comment on my blog. I'm not a good gardener, my garden is very little, and we have'nt had any rain for months. So, I'd rather paint, scrapbook or make some crafts.
The word is we may hit 90 degrees again, too - boy those nights in the fifties were so great for sleeping!
I didn't plant my bulbs yet. It will seem more traditional to do it while cold and damp.
The fountain will be gorgeous!

Thank you for 'visiting' my blog. Now I've found your and I'm interested to read about the creation of your garden. You seem to have some great ideas. Are you new to gardening or just that your garden is new?
It looks a lovely pot, indeed.
90 degree days sound nice...we have 2 warm days this week before temps get into the 30's and 40's. Brrr.
Looks like your fountain is going to be really nice.
Happy GTS~
Sarah
Hi Aihana, I just hate the freezing, cold weather. I love cool, crisp Autumn days. It's hard to go from hot to COLDDDD...
Hi Barbara, sorry, but I don't want to trade weather! :) I'll mail you some warmth!
Hey Mark, y'know, you're right! There's not much more to ask for.
Hi Sisah, I'll mail you some sunshine when I mail Barbara's!
Hey Mr. BT, Yeah, I could threaten Christmas, but that would be a little harsh since this is MY garden. Whining and bribing (Maybe the car keys??) usually works pretty well for me.
Hi Sara, Yep, some pretty big changes. Tomorrow will be 85 degrees and I bought a boat load of bulbs on the clearance rack, so guess what I'll be doing??
Hi Maryvonne, If you don't LOVE gardening, it just becomes a big chore. Life's too short to not do what you love, so girl, you just scrapbook away!
Hey Annie, Those cool nights were delicious! I had every window open! These past few days were warm and humid, but tomorrow's my day off, so bulb planting I will be! I'll let you know how the fountain goes.
Hi Alice, I'm not new to gardening, just gardening at this house with a very small yard. New dirt, new challenges. I'm not a learned gardener, though. I'm hoping to get my Master Gardener's certificate in the next couple of years. There's so much too learn. Thanks for your compliments..I just *copy" well! I'll show the finished fountain if it is successful! :)
Hi Sarah, appreciate those warm days, don't you? I guess if we never had rain, we wouldn't appreciate the sun nearly as much!
Stay warm!
Nice pot, and the frog seems to be enjoying it too! I can't wait to see it when it's all hooked up and running.
Tadaaaaaaaaa: the pot (at last!). And what a great pot it is! The fountain will be lovely. I'm also very curious to see your other garden projects like the stained glass window. Don't let me wait too long will you? ;-)
That pot is going to make a lovely water feature! I read your previous post about the farmer's market where you got it....WoW! There are some advantages to living in an urban area. I live in a rural area and our Farmer's Market is very small and struggling to get off the ground.

Your pot is lovely and will make a nice pot fountain. It's the perfect size.
Winter is setting in here and we had wet snow off and on yesterday. However, if you pop over to my blog you can see I still have snapdragons and mums growing. It's been an odd year. My flowers didn't do well in the summer because it was too hot and dry, but this fall they've been thriving.
Thanks for sharing.
I've just tagged you for the 8 things we don't know about you meme!
~Sarah
I think it is a lovely pot and congrats to your nephew and his team!
